Ava

|
Ava is a quiet girl, she loves to be around
the children and likes to have her ears rubbed. She is filling out
nicely and has the typical wide chest straight leg look we see from
our Dude's bloodline of bulldogs. Her daddy Bruno is Dude's son,
this is his first sired litter.

Dawn

|
Dawn is Miss Personality! She is a solid body
red brindle with a heavy sprinkling of black. And look at that face!
I look for her to mature at the 45-50 lb size and has all the right
looks and spunk for a very showy bulldog. |
Shelly

|
Shelly is a year old. DOB 12-27-10
Shelly is what we call a rare unique color. She would be considered
a reverse brindle. This video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Vci81jQ6mw
was taken 1-17-12 and shows her indoors and also outdoors to see
her true color and personality. She is a super sweet bulldog. |
We do have retired
mothers available at this time also. Please call for more information!

Here is Betty one of our retired mothers living
the life of a Queen!

Beth,
I thought you would like an update on Betty. (aka Bella). She
is enjoying life to the fullest and is spoiled
beyond belief. After a rough start with the house training, she
was on track within a month. Her routine now
consist of breakfast (with warm bits of cut up chicken), a nap,
petting, a nap, a small walk, a nap, dinner
(with warm bits of cut up chicken), and then to top the day off,
an hour of sofa time between Rick and I.
She is in heaven with this, she gives a few kisses to one of us
then the other, gets scratched, and just
generally eats up the attention. If we fail to have "sofa time"
she lets us know.
She rides in the car well and for the past week has been the project
supervisor while I have been re-doing a
rental home. She went to North Dakota with us and did well in the
car. We bought a CRV so we would have more
room for her. She has a ramp she walks up so I don't have to lift
her. When we stopped along the way on our
trip, she would go do her walk and then head right back to the car.
She loved the ride and the attention.
She is quite the joy in our lives. She lets me know when she needs
to get up in the middle of the night and sleeps in
her crate next to our bed. I know it would make you feel better
to know that she is spoiled, being loved, and enjoying
life. She is my favorite dog that I have ever had. This is not saying
she is not hard headed. I'll send a few photos.
Thanks for sharing Betty with us.

Why should you consider an older puppy or a retired
mother from the Siess Ranch?
All the SIESS RANCH puppies are handled from the moment
they are born. Giving them the socialization and care they need
to survive and thrive!
Unlike many breeders we do not always let our puppies
leave at the traditional 8 weeks of age. We feel there are just
to many things that can go wrong at this age. The puppies health
is our first priority. All bulldog puppies easily catch colds and
it is more common with the ages right after they are weaned till
they are acclimated with changing temps.
We start all our puppies on NuVet Vitamins as soon as they start
eating solid food. This supplement is sprinkled on their food until
they are old enough to start eating it as a treat. Sometimes it
is about the 10 week age before they take these tablets as treats.
We most generally like to see our puppies up to 10 lbs
or more before they leave here. Often this is the 9-10 week age.
Our routine here is to keep them with our mothers until the 6 week
age then we start their immuzations. Until they have had their first
round of immuzations we do keep them isolated in our nursery with
routine trips to the play/photo area where they are not around our
other dogs.
A few days after their first immuzation they are exposed to our
playroom in the house. Puppies are a lot like children and when
one catches a cold it usually spreads to everyone here. So we keep
a close eye on them to avoid any outbreaks.
Normally at the 8-10 week age is just the start of the time when
we work on potty training and individual crate training. Naturally
we cannot have all our puppies in our house all the time so we do
work with different age groups at a time. And if an individual puppy
is flying or leaving in a few days we do work with them to get them
comforable in their own crate by themselves.
It is our experience that bulldog puppies can get sick from just
stress. So by following our schedule of gradually exposing our puppies
to different environments with slight changes in temps helps to
keep them healthy when they leave here.
We welcome any questions you may have about adopting a bulldog puppy
or a retired mother. So please email or call 785-336-2563. I do
have to say that picking up the phone is much easier for us and
gets immediate attention. We do not mind your phone calls and if
we are unavailable we can certainly call you back.
Thank you, Richard and Beth
